“Home Library” Distributes /2.1/ m. Books in 43,000 House

 

 

Sharjah has completed its one-of-a- kind initiative, “Home Library”. The project has successfully provided free books for /42,366/ Emirati houses in the Emirate of Sharjah. Each house received a book set of /50/ books. The total number of distributed books reached /2,118,300/ books.

 

The implementation of the “Home Library” project has taken up eight years and was divided on /13/ phases in all the cities in the Emirate of Sharjah. /23,400/ book-sets were distributed in the city of Sharjah, /5,386/ book-sets in Khorfakkan, /5,500/ book-sets in Dhaid, /4,500/ book-sets in Kalba, /2,500/ book-sets in Dibba Al-Hisn, /140/ book-sets in al-Madam, /280/ book-sets in Al- Hamriyah, /170/ book-sets in Al-Sajaa, /161/ book-sets in Mileiha, /156/ book-sets in Wadi Al-Hilou, /134/ book-sets in Nazwa, /31/ book-sets in Nahwa, and /8/ book-sets in Shis.

 

The book set includes publications of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Al-Qassimi, Ruler of Sharjah. In addition, there are books in various domains of knowledge like children’s literature, science, culture, intellect, politics, literature, technology, history, and many others.
